Kids & Teen Yoga Teacher Training
Our Kids and Teen Yoga Teacher Training courses have been running since 2010. Based on over 20 years of teaching successful classes to these age groups.
The Kids & Teen Yoga Teacher Training courses are open to qualified yoga teachers and non-yoga teachers. If you are not a qualified yoga teacher then you must have a reasonable yoga practice.
The course is suitable for yoga teachers, trainees and students from all yoga traditions who wish to learn how to adapt their knowledge to teach successful children’s and teen yoga classes and keep your students returning for many years!
Applying for the course
There are 3 distinct age groups and certificates (see below).
The Foundation Years (3-8yrs) covers you to teach children aged 3-8yrs. The syllabus is split into 3-5yrs & 5-8yrs as there is quite a developmental difference in these age groups and the techniques used to keep the children engaged! (50 hour course)
The 8-12yr course is a completely different syllabus from the younger years. This allows you as a teacher to develop strong healthy bodies and minds and keep your young, students motivated and returning over the 4 year period. (50 hour course)
The Teen age group covers so many differing aspects of yoga, again, to keep this age group motivated and challenged. There is so much more to yoga that a flowing sequence or a sun salutation! (60 hour course)
If you complete all 3 age groups, although you can just choose the age-group you are interested in, you will have completed 160 hours of training!
What taking the course means
On successful completion you will have the knowledge and resources to teach successful yoga classes to children or teenagers, depending on which certificate you choose. You will be entitled to insurance under the Little Greene Yoga umbrella group and Yoga Alliance Professionals.
You can become an affiliate member of Yoga Alliance Professionals and choose to become a member of the Little Greene Yoga Teaching Faculty for continuing education.
How our nurturing training works
